Since I was very young, I knew that whatever I did when I grew up, I wanted to help people. As I matured and my dreams of being president of the world gave way to aspirations to solve real issues, I still held on to that goal of bettering the lives of others. In that sense, my professional life is dedicated to building the skills, gaining the experience, and befriending the people I need in order to tackle these real world problems around us.
One of my biggest passions is my love of music. I wholeheartedly believe that music is one of the most effective ways of conveying an emotion or telling a story. I think music, especially in this day and age, can be used as an illustration of the world we live in, both its beauty and its ugliness.
As an architectural engineering major, one of the most pressing issues that I'd like to have a hand in solving is homelessness, especially in urban environments. I want to be a part of the development process of housing buildings which can be constructed and maintained much cheaper than current buildings without sacrificing the safety and wellbeing of its residents. I think lowering cost and increasing supply of housing solutions in urban environments will be a monumental step in decreasing homelessness and poverty.
